Review: Sex, Straight Up by Kathleen O’Reilly

April 12, 2008 in April 2008, Harlequin Blaze, New Releases by Debby

"Another delightful tale of those ever so sexy O’Sullivan brothers, Sex, Straight Up by Kathleen O’Reilly tells the story of Daniel."

Daniel O’Sullivan is conned into spending a weekend at the beach. His brothers feel he has grieved long enough for his wife. It is time he moved on. Sure it will be a waste of time, Daniel spends the day alone on the beach avoiding his rowdy house mates until he meets a young woman in the house next door. To escape the noise, Daniel begins spending time with Catherine Montefiore. He finds he enjoys her company and soon they are enjoying much more. Daniel returns home but cannot forget her. When he finds himself auditing her company auction house, Daniel and Catherine find they are not satisfied with just lunch together but Daniel will find himself in a compromising situation if he continues. He must conduct his audit impartially.

Daniel will definitely touch your heart. Losing his wife so early in such a tragic way left him conflicted and yet determined to remain true to his marriage vows. Catherine challenges that determination and even when he starts to believe they could have a life together, she does not make it easy for him. Catherine too has struggled and she must learn what she wants out of life as well.

The story of two individuals becoming one, Kathleen O’Reilly’s Sex, Straight Up will appeal to the reader on many levels. Emotional, passionate and well-written are just a few of the reasons to run out and pick up Sex, Straight Up. You will not regret it.
