Review: The Future King’s Love-Child by Melanie Milburne

October 14, 2009 in Harlequin Presents, Melanie Milburne, Reviews, September 2009 by sheryl

"A poignant story of royal love."

nullPrince Sebastian Karedes has everything he could ever want, a throne to a kingdom that is his for the taking and the love of its people. But his past is about to return in the form of the one woman he has never forgotten, Cassie Kyriakis, who was jailed for killing her own father. But Cassie has her own secrets and one of them is the son that Sebastian knows nothing about. Also maybe just maybe Cassie is the victim and not a cold-blooded murderer.

A poignant story of royal love The Future King’s Love-Child by Melanie Milburne left this reader hungering for more from the Karedes series. I loved reading about Sebastian and Cassie, a love affair that was rent asunder by not only time but also lies. My heart went out to Cassie for all she endured and how much she loved her son, while I also enjoyed Sebastian because after everything that happened and all he went through he still loved Cassie. Even though he went about it the wrong way to win her back he did everything within his power to keep her there. Sebastian and Cassie have their ups and downs but the love they shared made this book so exciting to read. Ms Milburne has created a story that fits into The Royal House of Karedes series perfectly.
