"In her second Cooper Justice story, Paula Graves weaves a tale of deceit and terror with Chickasaw County Captive."

Jefferson Count D.A. Sam Cooper arrives home to the police, an injured niece and missing daughter. When she is found hiding, Sam is relieved but quickly realizes that Maddy will need protection until the kidnapper is found. Detective Kristen Tandy is appointed as Maddy’s protector, but Sam can’t figure out why she tries to keep her distance, until he learns of her past. Kristen’s past makes her leery of getting close to a child but for some reason, Maddy makes her feel again. Sam increasingly finds her attractive but knows they must keep their wits about them before someone tries to silence them permanently.

The tension in Chickasaw County Captive built until it was some thing you could almost touch. Who was after Sam and Maddy and then Kristen? The trail takes us into the past of both Kristen and Sam. Where will that trail lead? You will need to read this excellent spine tingling tale to find out. Paula Graves blends suspense, and romance with fantastic hero and heroine and an incredible plot to produce Chickasaw County Captive, an intriguing, chilling tale.
