Review: EMERGENCY: PARENTS NEEDED by Jessica Matthews
February 11, 2010 in February 2010, M&B Medical, Reviews by Donna Zapf
Joe Donatelli and Maggie Randall are temporary EMT partners. From day one they are at odds and the sexual tension is palpable. Determined to make the best of things, Maggie visits Joe, thinking he may be sick when he takes a personal day off. What she doesn’t expect is to find playboy Joe with an infant daughter in tow.
Joe was blindsided when an ex-girlfriend named him as guardian of her child if anything should happen to her. Thank goodness for Maggie, because Joe knows nothing about babies. But their close work relationship and now taking care of a baby together leads to a deep affection that can not be denied.
Jessica Matthews has a special panache for creating emotional love stories in the medical setting. She vividly describes the life and death decisions and harried work day in the life of an emergency medical technician, insuring the reader fully appreciates what they do. A fast-paced plot and strong characters, including a precious baby, make EMERGENCY: PARENTS NEEDED a reader’s delight from Jessica Matthews, a star author of medical romance.
