CataRomance Blog: Favorite Summer Activities by Lucy Monroe
June 29, 2010 in Blog, Lucy Monroe by Donna Zapf
When I was younger, my favorite summertime activity was camping and reading. Not at the same time though.
I read all summer long under the apple tree in our back yard. Things changed after my parent’s divorce, but not that – I kept reading, anytime, anyplace. We rarely camped though…until I married and had my own children and then we started that wonderful activity all over again. But it got edged out as favorite by travel. We’ve taken our children all over the US in the car and all over the world by plane and cruise liner and we loved it all! But two years ago, summers changed for us always as we awaited the arrival of our first grandchild. Yes, I’m a young grandmother. LOL So, this summer, we’re on baby watch again. The pregnancy is a little trickier with my younger daughter feeling the need to eface and dilate well ahead of schedule. We need to keep that baby baking in mommy’s oven though!
It’s a busy time with new books coming out back-to-back-to-back and celebrating my silver (25th release) with Harlequin as well as my gold (50th) release over all.

50 already? wow!
50 books – wow! Congrats. I am going to Ireland this summer. I can’t wait!!
Enjoyed your blog, Lucy – hope the new grandbaby takes his/her time about putting in an appearance and all goes well. (From another young grandmother!)
Liz Fielding´s last blog ..
That’s awesome Debby. Ireland! Take lots of photos.
Hope all goes well with the new grandbaby! My family used to camp, but when I got old enough, I said no more. I like my soft bed and no bugs too much. LOL! Enjoyed The Shy Bride.
