Review: THE BABY PROJECT by Susan Meier
May 13, 2011 in April 2011, Harlequin Romance, Reviews, Susan Meier by Donna Zapf
Stephone Andreas and Missy, Whitney Ross’s best friend, were lovers and died tragically together in an accident leaving behind their infant son Gino. Whitney and her father are the Andreas family lawyers so Whitney was not surprised by the reading of Stephone’s will until it came to the guardianship of Gino. Missy and Stephone decided to ask Whitney and Stephone’s oldest son, Darius, to take joint custody. This leaves Whitney reeling because of her own heartbreaking loss. Her husband and daughter died just a few years ago, how can she bear to take care of another child?
Devastatingly handsome Darius Andreas poses another problem for Whitney’s heart. Both Darius and Whitney are determined to be good parents to Gino but neither are sure about the other’s motives much less why they are beginning to have feelings for each other. Darius never expected to be a father and Whitney never wanted to be hurt by loss again but together they are changed and open for something more.
Award winning author Susan Meier ensnares readers with the first book in her Babies in the Boardroom trilogy. This series promises to play on our nurturing and sensual instincts as Ms Meier uses her creative juices to write stories about rich compassionate men, darling babies and strong independent women. THE BABY PROJECT introduces us to the Andreas brothers and tells Darius’s story in detail. A delight to read, THE BABY PROJECT may have started as a project for the hero and heroine but their love for baby Gino quickly evolves into a love for each other and the project develops into the makings of a family.
