Review: A Wedding in Warragurra by Fiona Lowe
In her latest Medical, A Wedding in Warragurra, flight nurse Kate Lawson has just returned to Warragurra from a trip to Europe following the death of her husband, who was a member of one of the town’s most influential – and richest- families. The whole town blames her for the death of her husband, but Kate is not prepared to let them ruin her life or to drive her out of her home, so she decides to get back to work, and to try to put the past behind her and begin to move forward. However, on her return to work, Kate realizes that things haven’t remained the same as her new colleague, Dr. Baden Tremont, is the most gorgeous man she has ever seen!
Baden is a single father, who has moved to Warragurra to start afresh after the death of his beloved wife. He is not in the market for a relationship, as his priorities are his daughter, Sasha, and his job. However, Baden cannot deny the fact that he finds Kate absolutely intriguing! Kate is not only a capable and skilled nurse, but she’s also a desirable woman, who has ignited feelings deep within him which have been buried for years.
But falling in love is not on the agenda for either of them. Kate is not prepared to put her heart on the line again, and Baden has no desire whatsoever to get involved with another woman in the near future. But Kate is like no woman he has ever met before, and as their job pushes the two of them close together, Baden and Kate realize that they may have fallen head over heels in love with one another!
But is their past preventing them from moving on? Will they let the ties of the past bind them to an unhappy future? Or will they both grasp this new chance of happiness?
Fiona Lowe is simply terrific! Not only does this talented storyteller allow her readers to fall in love with her wonderful hero and heroine, but she also recreates their Outback town so vividly, that readers will feel as if they are standing under the vast Australian sky!
If you are looking for a romance that is poignant, passionate and enthralling, then rush to the bookstore and pick up A Wedding in Warragurra – you certainly will not regret it!
