Dante Romano is determined to get his hands on the Tonielli ice cream empire – and now that Carenza Tonielli is in charge of the business, Dante knows that the spoilt princess will have no qualms about selling to him. After all what would somebody like Carenza, with her penchant for designer shoes and wild parties, possibly want with a traditional business like Tonielli’s? Shrewd Dante is sure that all Carenza wants is to sell the family business to the highest bidder and then hightail it back to her hedonistic life in London. When her beloved grandfather had some serious health issues, Carenza had jumped on the first plane to Italy to help her grandmother nurse him back to health and to take over the running of Tonielli’s. Having been orphaned at a very early age, Carenza had been brought up by her loving grandparents who had given their only niece the best possible childhood. Carenza is determined to take the business forward and to pick up where her grandfather had left off. However, there’s one small problem: Carenza has got no clue about how to run a successful business. She is in desperate need of help and the only man who can help her is Dante Romano. But it’s a shame that the swarthy Italian seems to have taken an instant dislike to her!

But Carenza cannot afford to take offence. Somebody is ripping her grandfather off and Carenza is determined to unmask whoever is taking advantage of her grandfather and the family business. With Dante by her side, Carenza begins to learn the ropes and to solve the mystery that could jeopardize the future of Tonielli’s. But the last thing Carenza had counted on was on falling head over heels in love with Dante!

Dante had initially written off Carenza as a self-obsessed party girl who cared more about shoes than her grandparents, but the more time he spends with her, the more he realizes that Carenza has got hidden depth. A steamy affair quickly ensues, however, Dante makes it perfectly clear that although he is deeply attracted to Carenza, a future together is out of the question.
